At Ellipse Aero, building an aircraft is more than engineering and craftsmanship. In many ways, it feels like weaving a dream — thread by thread, part by part, day by day. One of the most beautiful moments in that process is when the future owner comes to see how that dream is taking shape.
Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Philipp to our factory. Accompanied by Markus, our importer for Germany and a key part of the Ellipse story in that region, Philipp came to experience the place where his aircraft is slowly coming to life.
Visits like these are always special for us. They remind us that every aeroplane we build belongs to someone’s vision of flight — a dream that started long before the first composite layer was laid or the first rivet was placed.
Walking through the production halls, Philipp saw the calm rhythm of the work, the people behind the aircraft, and the atmosphere that shapes every Ellipse we build. After the visit, he shared his impressions:
“Last week I had the opportunity to visit Ellipse Aero for a factory tour and gain firsthand insight into their production.
What I experienced there truly impressed me. In addition to the very friendly employees, all working calmly and with great focus, I was particularly struck by the order, cleanliness, and the well-structured system of collaboration throughout the company.”
What stood out to him even more was the spirit inside the team:
“What stood out even more was the way supervisors and employees communicate with each other: calm, respectful, and always on equal footing. This culture could be felt across the entire organization.”
And something that made us especially proud to hear:
“I also noticed the significant number of women working in technical roles, something that unfortunately is still far too rare in this industry.”
For us, having partners like Markus, who connect Ellipse with pilots and owners across Germany, is essential in this journey. He plays a key role in bringing people like Philipp into the Ellipse family and guiding them through the exciting path from first idea to finished aircraft.
Moments like these visits remind us why we do what we do. Building aeroplanes is technical work — but at its heart, it is deeply human. It is about trust, passion, and the shared excitement of seeing a dream slowly become real.
As Philipp beautifully summarised it:
“With this insight and background, Ellipse has gained even more value and appreciation for me.
A big compliment to Martin and his entire team for this impressive work and company culture.”
And of course, no visit to Ellipse would be complete without experiencing the aircraft in the air:
“And of course, the test flight with the Ellipse in this beautiful environment will remain a wonderful memory. What this aircraft is capable of is truly remarkable and almost impossible to describe.”
For us, the most rewarding part of building aeroplanes is sharing this journey with the people who will one day fly them.
Because every Ellipse aircraft begins with a dream —
And together, step by step, we weave that dream into flight.
